OWI’s L.A. Rocker weatherized rock speakers are now 20 years old

line of weatherized rock speakers. The company was one of the first to offer rockshaped speakers that blend seamlessly into the landscape. L.A. Rocker speakers can be found at major theme parks, malls and retail centers, golf courses, hotels, casinos, and attractions worldwide.

“In this ever-changing world, 20 years in the market place is quite an achievement,” states OWI vice president Joseph Martinez. “Their popularity over the years is based on their amazingly realistic appearance, rugged construction and pro-quality sound thanks to the OWI weatherized speakers housed inside. Our rocks get better looking with age. The longer they are out in the sun the better they look and blend into the environment, while other plastic rocks fade and show their plastic finish.”

OWI L.A. Rocker speakers are faithful recreations, including patterns, colors, and shapes from granite to river rock, boulders to lava rock and everything in between. Each is made of glass fiber reinforced concrete that is cured for 25 days. Rocks are uniquely hand finished in a variety of UV-resistant finishes to complement any landscaping style. They are insect, puppy, and lawnmower proof and can withstand hundreds of pounds of standing weight.

At the heart of all L.A. Rockers are OWI’s weatherized speakers. Built with a die cast aluminum housing and engineered to withstand extreme temperatures, these speakers will continue to deliver great sound in the most demanding environments. L.A.
